Official player guide

Your first session.

Start with the Journey, then settle in. Here are the commands and details you’ll need along the way.

First session

Your first hour, step by step.

The Journey teaches the server in-game. These six steps show you where to begin.

01

Add the server

Use play.carvermc.net in Minecraft Java Edition. You do not need a custom port.

02

Start the Journey

Run /quests and open the six-part Journey. You can track up to three quests at once.

03

Head into the world

Use /wild to reach survival terrain. After the Journey, follow the Claims quests to protect your base.

04

Save a home

Use /sethome after you find a safe base location. Traveler starts with one home.

05

Get established

Gather materials, level skills, finish early quests, and use /shop when you need it.

06

Ask when you need help

Use /helpop for online staff, form a party with friends, or open Discord for announcements and support.

Quests

What the Quest Atlas includes.

CarverMC has 119 quests in 12 categories: 77 one-time quests and a 42-contract weekly pool. The Daily Contract Board presents six choices—one for each track—and changes at midnight Eastern.

Land claims

Protect your base.

Finish the Journey, then follow Claims I–III in /quests. Use //wand to select your area, /claimprice to check the price, and /claim <name> followed by /claimconfirm to buy it. A full-height claim costs $5,000. Server rules also protect unclaimed builds.

Unclaimed does not mean abandoned.

Griefing, stealing, scams, and claim bypasses are prohibited everywhere. Use /helpop or /report if something happens.

Trading

Use the market or open a shop.

You start with $250. The server market has 28 sections, and QuickShop lets you sell directly to other players.

Rank ladder

What each rank adds.

The seven ranks add practical perks such as more homes and more QuickShops. Rank kits are cumulative: you keep access to the kits you have already earned, each with its own cooldown. Progression ranks do not grant creative mode, god mode, or staff commands.

AuraSkills

Eleven skills, 50 levels each.

Each skill pays $100 at level 10, $250 at level 25, and $500 at level 50. Check /skills to see your progress and available abilities.

Playing with a party

Parties support up to five players, turn off friendly fire, and share a small nearby AuraSkills bonus within 64 blocks. Parties do not add teleports, shared homes, or claim access.

Beyond the base

The Claimless are out there.

Custom Claimless encounters appear across the Overworld, Nether, and End. Pick up the optional Frontier Files quests when you’re ready to take them on.

Boss encounters

Boss fights are run as staff events. Watch the server announcements for an event before planning around one.
